Japanese photographer Natsumi Hayashi is fascinated with levitation. By carefully adjusting the shutter speed on her camera and gracefully leaping into the air, she captures magical self-portraits wherein time and gravity are suspended in a series of transient moments. By freeing herself from gravity, she also becomes liberated from social conventions, able to just be herself.
