Born in Philadelphia in 1890, Man Ray moved to Paris in 1921 to join the Dada movement. An artist of genius and radical experimenter, he gained immense critical acclaim for his photographic work. In the 1920s, Man Ray made four films which, although largely unknown to the general public, made him a major figure in avant-garde cinema. His cinema will be as radical as his images and objects.
