Margaret Bourke-White (born Margaret White) (New York, June 14, 1904 - Stamford, Connecticut, August 27, 1971) was an American photographer. As a lieutenant colonel, she was the first war reporter for the American Army and, towards the end of the Second World War, a photographer for the American Air Force. One of her photographs, The Living Dead of Buchenwald, is one of the most famous of the 20th century.
