Freed, Leonard - Indonesiers in Holland: 1985-1962

In the period 1958-1960 Magnum photographs photographer Leonard Freed (1929-2006) in the Netherlands immigrants from Indonesia. These Dutch East Indies and Moluccans belong to the last great wave that started the boat trip to the Netherlands as a result of the decolonization of the Dutch East Indies. Leonard Freed follows them from the moment they arrive in Amsterdam by boat. He visited them in the temporary camps, with Dutch families, on the streets, at work and at school.
