Heinz Hajek-Halke (1898-1983) spent large parts of his childhood in Buenos Aires, 1915-16 art studies in Berlin, then military service, 1918-19 studies a.o. with Emil Orlik, from 1924 occupated with photography, worked as a commercial artist and press photographer, 1934-46 life in Kressbronn / Bodensee, work as a commercial artist and small animal breeder, from 1948 specialization in experimental photography, 1955-67 lecturer in photo graphics at the university for Fine arts Berlin, 1973 handover of life's work to Michael Ruetz, died 1983 in Berlin.
