Delano, James Whitlow - EMPIRE Impressions de Chine new in seal

His work as a photographer took James Whitlow Delano from the rainforests of Southeast Asia to the ancient Silk Road at the western end of China. In his quest for an Asia where the legacy of the past is erased in the face of rapid industrialization, Delano has repeatedly returned to China. Other photographic services took him to the mountainous regions of America, Europe and Africa. His photographs have been published worldwide by famous magazines, including "Time" and "Travel & Leisure", and have won him major awards. Orville Schell was born in New York. He has devoted his professional life to reporting, articles and books on Asia, especially China. He is currently Dean of the Graduate Institute of Journalism at the University of California, Berkeley. Colin Jacobson directs the Masters program in Photography at Falmouth College of Arts in Cornwall, Great Britain. He has written numerous articles on contemporary photography. He was part of the jury of the World Press Photo Contest.
