Featured in "The Dutch Photobook" by Gierstberg & Suermondt (page 199), "Van Alphen specifically asked designer Wigger Bierma to reinterpret his photography; he wanted the book to be a work in its own right. By associating freely with the images, Bierma introduced photomontages, strips and blocks of colour and black frames. He experimented with a broad range of typographic solutions, positioned photos at odd angles, gave them unusually generous amounts of space or carried them onto the following page."
